Back at it!
After almost a month long hiatus from working out and eating healthy I am back at it. Tomorrow is my fresh start. Hoping to get back to where I was in April. :*

Progress!
I have been making progress with my new healthy lifestyle! I am working out five-six times a week and weight lifting as well! Today was arm day. I am really getting into a routine of things so hopefully the weight will slowly start coming off :)

Update!
Logging in here seems impossible! I wish there was an IPhone app for blogger. This would make my life much easier. Lol! Things are going a little better. Trying out a combination of carb cycling and just healthier eating choices. I have been working out pretty regularly too so we'll see!

Carb Cycling
So I have decided to start a carb cycling challenge. I'm on day four! I am not going to lie it has been a struggle but I'm hoping to see results.
Today was a carb free day so that was really hard. It ended up just being a low carb day.
Tomorrow is 3 carbs and 1 fruit so definitely looking forward to that!

I braved the weight lifting area today!
So today I finally got the courage to go to the weight lifting area with all the beefy body builders. It was not as bad as I thought! Really looking forward to meeting my fitness goals in the future. Would love to be fifteen pounds lighter so we will see what happens. Today I did HIIT on the treadmill for twenty minutes and leg day! Had a delicious meal for dinner tonight too!
Really hoping to get into the swing of things in these next couple weeks. Here's to a new me.

Great Things Ahead!
Things our finally starting to settle down for me. I was working as a server in a retirement community for the past two months and the pay has just been awful. I decided to start working full-time at my second job as a preschool teacher. I have gone to the gym almost every day this week! I finally think I am in a place where I can get my diet under control too! Now that I have gotten into the routine of going to the gym every day if not almost every day, I am ready to change my eating habits too. This has been a real struggle for me because I have such a sweet tooth and always crave carbs! I think my goals I'm going to set for my self are:
1. One drink other than water a day, i.e., almond milk, 100% juice
2. Only one serving of carbs a day but no more than two
3. Drink five cups of water a day, and always before a meal
4. Always include a fruit or vegetable at every meal, both if possible.
5. Exercise at least once a day or every other day if needed.
I hope that I can keep up with these goals because I am ready to make this change!
Here is today's breakfast. After a warm cup of water, I had whole wheat toast with mashed avocado and a fried egg with sliced apples and almond milk! Delish!

Crazy busy!
Things have been so crazy since I started my second job! I am finally able to start my healthier eating and working out now that I knocked out that cold.
Tomorrow I am going to have an English Muffin with Cream Cheese for breakfast. I'm going to bring some fruit and yogurt for snacks at work and my smoothie for on the way to work. Dinner is kind of up in the air because I have class and have not made up a meal plan yet.
I have work from 7-230 then I am going to go to the gym and hit the stair stepper for 20 minutes and then do legs. I have to do my plank and push up challenges as well! Then I'm off to class for the night!
Hope all goes to plan
Oh and the boy is being adorable as always. He bought me flowers for Valentine's Day. They were beautiful. He is such a romantic! Cant wait until he is here in May! 92 days and counting!

Starting to feel better!

Finally starting to feel better after going to the doctor and getting some antibiotics! Might be able to finally start working out more! I did start my second job the other day so we'll see! And Jack sent me flowers for Valentine's Day. They are so pretty! Such a lucky girl with him in my life!

Taking a step back.
Jack and I have been talking a lot today, well the past few days. He has been trying to decide if he should come back out here or stay home in Scotland and find work there. He has been going back and forth between the two ideas all week. He said that we've been moving really quickly in our relationship. Talking about the future, years ahead. Getting engaged, married, etc. Which we have, and it is what I want. But we have only been dating for eight months so I completely understand where he is coming from, plus he is two years younger than me. So the thought of marriage already is probably scary. Which I understand. He just scared me the way he went about bringing it up. I thought he was trying to say something had changed with us, or what he wanted had changed. But he reassured me he still loves me and nothing has changed. He just wants to take time to really get to know each other since we haven't really had that chance. I understand what he is saying and now that we've thoroughly talked about it, I know that we're on the same page. There was just a small minute second where I thought he had changed his mind about me. Because honestly, I don't understand how I was blessed enough to find such a perfect man in him. He constantly seems to good to be true for me. I guess because things always go bad for me with men. I am so scared to lose him because I love him more than life. He has made me so happy and brought me out of a deep depression. I never knew it was possible to love someone as much as I love him. I know he loves me because he tells me every day, all day. And goes on about me to his family and friends. I am just so damn insecure about myself that I don't think I could ever deserve a man like Jack or be loved by him. He is such a beautiful soul and I am so happy that he is mine to love forever. He is my best friend.

Sickness not getting better
Unfortunately I am getting worse with this cold. Going to try and stick to my meal plan and will plan to get back to the gym as soon as I start to feel better. I feel like I am ALWAYS sick.
Going to have a Belgian Waffle with fresh fruit and agave syrup for an early dinner tonight since I have class all night.
I need more Vitamin C in my life.

School is going to be the death of me!
WELL. I wanted so badly to go to the gym tonight. Not that I feel much better but I wanted to get my butt to the gym! I did accumulate over 13,000 steps working today, which is good! I am going to make my planned dinner of fish, broccoli and fruit. I am going to do an at home workout as well so I am not completely missing out tonight. Here is what my schedule looks like for the next week.
Hoping things go according to plan but working full-time, taking three college courses, working out and dating a Scotsmen seems to keep me on my toes!

Day One!
Well it has been an interesting couple of days. I have managed to get sick AGAIN. I had banana nut pancakes for breakfast which were delish! I had my planned Tomato Soup with a Ham and Swiss Sandwich. I did not workout today because I can barely breathe.. I hope I feel better tomorrow. I really want to get back into going to the gym at least 4-5 times a week. I also have a couple workout challenges I want to try. See you tomorrow :)

2016: New Year New Me
I have completely lost sight of my health over the past seven or eight months. I met the man of my dreams and got too comfortable! It is kind of unbelievable that we even met. He is Scottish! I worked at a day care last year and he came to America over the summer to coach soccer to kids. He happened to be coaching at the day care center I worked at and we hit it off. We've been in love ever since. I even got to travel to Scotland over the holidays! He is the best thing to ever happen to me. Now that I am emotionally as strong as I have ever been thanks to him, I can get back to my health. Here's to a new and healthier year. I am going to start full swing on Monday, see you then!
