Things our finally starting to settle down for me. I was working as a server in a retirement community for the past two months and the pay has just been awful. I decided to start working full-time at my second job as a preschool teacher. I have gone to the gym almost every day this week! I finally think I am in a place where I can get my diet under control too! Now that I have gotten into the routine of going to the gym every day if not almost every day, I am ready to change my eating habits too. This has been a real struggle for me because I have such a sweet tooth and always crave carbs! I think my goals I'm going to set for my self are:
1. One drink other than water a day, i.e., almond milk, 100% juice
2. Only one serving of carbs a day but no more than two
3. Drink five cups of water a day, and always before a meal
4. Always include a fruit or vegetable at every meal, both if possible.
5. Exercise at least once a day or every other day if needed.
I hope that I can keep up with these goals because I am ready to make this change!
Here is today's breakfast. After a warm cup of water, I had whole wheat toast with mashed avocado and a fried egg with sliced apples and almond milk! Delish!
